Hi! In this case, you can do a little research, but TLDR: you can go up to 35 V, no problems, but you have to remove the jumper located above the power supply connector. Longer answer: 1st, you can see that the capacitors are rated for 35V (*****V VT). Also, you can check the datasheet of the L298N chip which says that the maximum supply voltage is 46 V (page 3 of the datasheet). You have to be aware that there is a jumper on the board which should be removed if you use the device with larger than 12 V. The jumper is located between the input terminal and one of the capacitors (bottom left corner of the board). I also tested this type of circuit board with different voltages and it was fine. In fact, my board does not have the 12 V printed on it.
