      This light is crazy bright. I got the 6500K Ramping Driver which gives me 3 different Modes I can set. The power button can be fully pushed (clicks), or half pressed. By default the 3 Modes are as follows...

      Mode 1 - 100% power
      Mode 2 - 1.5A (maybe 30% power)
      Mode 3 - Strobe at 100% Power

      Access the 3 modes as follows (starting off):
      Full press (click) - Mode 1
      1 half press - Mode 1
      2 half presses - Mode 2
      3 half presses - Mode 3

      Note that half presses must be fast. You can program what each of the 3 modes do but it's a little complicated. I created a YouTube video called "Convoy C8+ SST40 Ramping Driver Programming" that has an accurate chart that works great. I attached the chart here for convenience.

        Q: I have a Convoy C8+ UV that has an extension that allows use of ***** batteries. Will that work on this one?

        I'm 99% sure that the SST40 is a 3v led. Using ***** cells in series would be too high a voltage. So no, I would highly recommend NOT using the extension tube. It's an amazing light just the way it is! But if you get one and try it, let us know what happens. Better order 2 if you plan on trying it!
